This policy explains what information Shipyard ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Shipyard website-building and hosting service.

Information we collect

• Account & contact details you give us — your email and the business information you enter to build your site.
• Site content — the text, images, and instructions you provide or ask the AI to publish.
• Payment information — processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number; we receive confirmation of payment and a customer reference.
• Basic technical data — request logs needed to operate and secure the Service.

How we use it

To create, host, and update your site; to process payments and manage your subscription; to send you service email (welcome, receipts, and important notices); and to keep the Service secure and prevent abuse. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We share only what is necessary with the providers that run the Service on our behalf:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Amazon Web Services — hosting and storage.
• Anthropic — the AI that generates and edits your site content from your instructions.
• Namecheap — domain registration, if you buy a domain through us.

Retention

We keep your information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal and operational needs. When you cancel, your site and stored content may be deleted. You can request deletion sooner (see Contact).

Your choices

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information by emailing us. Service emails relate to your account and the operation of your site; we do not require you to receive marketing email to use the Service.

Cookies

Our own pages use only what is needed to run the Service. Stripe's secure checkout may set its own cookies to process your payment.

Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above reflects the latest version.
